Scott was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1963 to Nazarene missionary parents, Don and Lucy Crenshaw; the family returned to the United States in 1966. Scott grew up in Kansas and Colorado where his father pastored Nazarene churches in Salina, Sublette, and later Pueblo. At the age of five, Scott gave his heart to Jesus in a Sunday evening service in Salina, Kansas. During his senior year in high school, Scott felt God’s call to full-time ministry and prepared to attend MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Donna was born in Joplin, Missouri, but moved to Omaha, Nebraska when she was two years old. She grew up on a very small organic farm right outside the Omaha city limits. From a very early age, she loved music. In fact, her mom said she could sing before she could talk! She has always had a love of nature, animals, music, and a bit later in life, reading. Donna originally wanted to be a nurse and enrolled in at MidAmerica Nazarene University as a nursing student, but during the summer before her freshman year, the Lord asked her to major in music instead.

While at MidAmerica, Scott and Donna met. They were friends for a few years, but as it sometimes happens, feelings grew deeper and they married in the summer of 1986.

Scott graduated with a B.A in Church Music and Christian Education in 1987 and Donna earned a Music Industry degree in 1985. Scott and Donna have been partners in ministry ever since and have served in associate pastor roles leading worship, youth ministry, and providing pastoral care for churches in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Idaho, Tennessee and Alabama. Scott also served as lead pastor of the Oxford, Mississippi Church of the Nazarene. Most of Donna’s career has been in higher education with an emphasis in finance. She is currently the senior administrative assistant to the VP of Student Affairs at Friends University here in Wichita.

While serving in St Louis, Missouri, a true miracle entered their lives: their son, Zachary, was born in 1994. He is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with an earned degree in Information Technologies. Zach currently lives in Chicago and works in the IT field.

Scott and Donna are so happy to be here in Wichita and plan to stay forever! They are blessed to pastor such a loving congregation who believes in reaching out to a lost and hurting world with the Good News of Jesus Christ!
